Trying to get Lost” is essentially an incessant rant with no chorus, put to music. It is a driving tune, not looking back for anything. The percussive rolling of a banjo was imperative to the success of a studio take and I believe Andy Goessling nailed it. The pedal steel trundles along as I recount my steps made trying to figure exactly what I was doing with myself aimlessly wandering in the scenic Pacific Northwest.
